Legacy Memorial Services is locally owned and operated by Derek Henley, Funeral Director and Embalmer.
Derek's journey in funeral service began at the age of 15, when he first experienced the privilege of helping families during some of life's most difficult moments. He continued serving in the profession until his mid-twenties before pursuing successful careers in construction, real estate, and business ownership.
Although he always believed funeral service was one of the most meaningful professions a person could choose, he never imagined that one day he would have the opportunity to own a funeral home of his own.
Years later, that opportunity became a reality with the founding of Legacy Memorial Services.
Today, Derek has returned to the profession that first inspired him, bringing with him decades of business experience, a servant's heart, and a renewed commitment to caring for families with compassion, dignity, and integrity.
